five days and six nights in the mountains cycling past beautiful scenery.
This is our most challenging cycling holiday, but still easy enough any healthy person should be able to do it. The route is 240km spread over five days with the longest stage being 90km. The route goes right through the heart of the region and traverses it entirely from Vila Real de Santo Antonio to Sagres. We don’t make any exceptions here on difficulty, choosing a route that passes all the coolest stuff, be it historic, or natural, or just some incredible view up in the hills.
Like the other tours in this group, this one last five days and included 6 nights accommodation, breakfast, a picnic lunch, but not your evening meal (so you can choose more freely where and what to eat).
a road through the mountains you’ll follow
The mountains here are completely unspoilt and have hardly any traffic. The landscape is terrific, especially in Autumn and spring when the flowers or mushrooms are out. The wildlife is incredible and you’re nearly guaranteed to see birds or prey and some interesting creatures. The roads are exquisite and in excellent condition.
This is my favourite tour, as it reflects the real algarve better than any other. I’m sure you too will just fall in love with the region if you come and explore it on this tour.
Your equipped with maps, an optional gps (€30) a phone for contacting our team if you need to, optional tracking (free) and a customized route book. Also your baggage will be moved about from place to place so that you can cycle without the extra weight, or worrying about. Of course we’re happy to oblige with any advice, ‘shopping’ pick up and so on, should you need it.
Like our other week long road tours the prices are as follows: April though till the end of October excluding August (too busy, too hot) the price is €895,00 April, May and October, €960,00 in June and €1085,00 in July and September based on two sharing. Singles are required to pay a €200,00 surcharge.
